Five members of parliament (MPs) from Kericho County have hit out at politicians attacking Deputy President William Ruto at different meetings.

They said it was unfortunate that politicians have turned various fora or meetings to politically attacked the DP for no apparent reason.

The lawmakers led by the Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot said it was wrong for their fellow politicians both in the Jubilee Party and the Opposition to turn meetings only to paint into Ruto in bad light for cheap political reasons.

Others Nelson Koech (Belgut), Florence Bore (Kericho County), Hillary Koskei (Kipkelion West) and Kipsengeret Koross (Soin-Sigowet). Senator Cheruiyot, Koech and Bore made the remarks on Friday at Seretut playing ground in Belgut constituency during a funds drive.

Cheruiyot singled out last week’s commemoration of the late president Daniel arap Moi anniversary at Kabarak.
