Former impeached Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has joined the Linda Mwananchi team as it embarks on a series of political rallies in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties.

Photos shared on social media by Linda Mwananchi’s spokesperson and Suba South MP Karoli Omondi, alongside Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi, shared on Saturday, July 25, 2026, showed Mwangaza in the company of the opposition leaders ahead of the rallies. The images also featured the team’s signature hand symbols as they rallied supporters before the events.

“A warm welcome to Her Excellency Governor Kawira Mwangaza in Kitale, Trans Nzioa.

“One Team One Mission”

Mwangaza’s appearance comes just days after she officially aligned herself with the Linda Mwananchi movement following a meeting with its leaders in Nairobi.

The team had initially planned to hold rallies in Meru after its meetings in Kisii and Thika. However, the events were postponed to a later date due to undisclosed reasons.

Linda Mwananchi is set for a busy day in the Western region, with its maiden rally scheduled for Moi’s Bridge before proceeding to Sibanga. The day’s activities will culminate in a major rally in Kitale Town, where the leaders are expected to address residents on their political agenda.

After concluding the Linda Mwananchi rally in Kitale, the caravan will proceed to Kiminini Market in Trans Nzoia County on Sunday, July 26, 2027, for a church service at Kiminini Catholic Church.

They will then head to Kamukuywa Market in Bungoma County, where they will hold a roadside rally.

The movement will then proceed to Kimilili Market, where the leaders will stop to greet residents before heading to Chwele Market in Sirisia Constituency for another major rally.

The caravan will then make its way to Bungoma Posta Grounds, where Edwin Sifuna will officially be endorsed and released by the community to traverse the country in search of support for his presidential bid.

“We will begin with a rally in Kitale on July 25, then a Sunday service at Kiminini Catholic Church on July 26. We will then proceed to Kamukuywa market for a roadside rally, then to Kimili, Chewle, and our final rally will be at Bungoma Posta grounds,” former Bungoma Governor Wyckilife Wangamati, one of the event planners, said.
