Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Kaluma has praised President William Ruto for promoting inclusivity and equitable governance across Kenya.

In a statement on Monday, December 8, 2025, Kaluma highlighted that within three years of taking office, Ruto has successfully brought all communities and regions of the country into the government, fostering a sense of national ownership and shared responsibility.

“In three years, President Ruto has brought all communities and regions of Kenya into Government and ensured equal ownership and equal sharing of the resources of Kenya by all,” Kaluma said.

Furthermore, he also credited Ruto for stabilizing Kenya’s economy, which he said had been severely weakened under the previous administration.

“In two years, President Ruto stabilized Kenya’s economy, which had collapsed under Uhuru Kenyatta,” Kaluma noted.

The Luo Community Votes

This comes a day after Kaluma ignited a heated debate after declaring that the Luo community will deliver four million votes to President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.

The legislator made the assertion in a social media post, triggering a wave of reactions from Kenyans who questioned both the feasibility and intent of his remarks.

“In 2027, the Luo Community will give President Ruto her 4 million votes,” Kaluma wrote.

However, official results from the 2022 presidential election show that Raila Odinga garnered a total of 6,942,930 votes nationwide, representing 48.85 percent of the vote, while Ruto secured 7,176,141 votes.
