Junet Mohamed: ODM has produced right candidates for vacant seats
Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohamed has argued that the Orange Democratic Movement Party (ODM) has produced the right candidates for the vacant seats to be filled in the forthcoming November by-election.
Taking to his X account on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, moments after ODM issued nomination certificates to its nominees seeking different elective seats in the scheduled mini-polls, the lawmaker said the party has chosen the right candidates to fly its flag high on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
Mohamed also said ODM Party members will do a thorough campaign for the nominees to ensure the political outfit wins big in the particular mini-poll.

”We shall campaign hard for the party ticket holders, confident that the ODM Party nomination process produced the rightful winners who will deliver these seats to our party,” Junet said.
At the same time, the ODM National Chairperson, Gladys Wanga, has also congratulated the party nominees seeking different elective seats in the November by-election, saying the party will keep strengthening in the country’s political environment heading into the next general election.
ODM issues nomination certificates

This ceremony cements our party’s commitment to transparent, democratic primaries. The journey to bolster our party and serve the people continues with a strong, united team. Mbele Pamoja,” Wanga took to her X account on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Aspirants Moses Omondi and Boyd Were are among candidates who have been issued with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM Party) nomination certificates ahead of the Thursday, November 27, 2025, parliamentary seat by-election in the Ugunja and Kasipul constituencies.

Confirming the issuance on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the ODM Party gave the two aspirants the note to fly its flag in the scheduled mini-polls.
”Our candidates for Ugunja and Kasipul Constituencies, Moses Omondi and Boyd Were, respectively, were today issued with certificates, giving them the nod to fly the party flag in the forthcoming by-elections, scheduled for Nov. 27 this year,” the political outfit said in a statement.

ODM declared Boyd Were the winner of the Kasipul primaries in a statement released on September 24, 2025. Following the declaration, Boyd Were, son of the late Kasipul MP Charles Ong’ondo Were, will seek to succeed his father in the National Assembly in the forthcoming mini polls.
“Mr Boyd Were is the winner of the party ticket for the Kasipul Constituency by-election scheduled for the 27th of November 2025. Tomorrow, a similar exercise shall be conducted in the Ugunja constituency. We wish all the aspirants for the ticket success in the primaries,” ODM stated.
