Edwin Sifuna hosts Seth Panyako at his Bungoma home ahead of Malava poll
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has hosted Democratic Action Party (DAP-K) Malava Constituency candidate Seth Panyako, among other leaders, at his Sianda, Bungoma, home.
Panyako was accompanied by leaders such as Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga, and Chwele Kabuchai Ward aspirant Erick Wekesa.
The details of the meeting are yet to be revealed, coming at a time when Seth Panyako is in the home stretch of his campaign to replace the late Malulu Injendi in Malava.

This is significant, as it comes at a time when Edwin Sifuna, who is the Secretary-General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), a party that has decided to support Panyako’s opponent, David Ndakwa, who is vying on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket due to the spirit of a broad-based arrangement, has now drawn attention.
with eyes on Sifuna to see if he will support Panyako following the meeting, especially since the majority of his Kenya Moja allies, which he leads, have announced support for the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) boss.
During a rally held on Friday, November 21, 2025, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, who has come out in support of Seth Panyako during his home stretch campaigns, urged his party, ODM, to support Seth instead of Ndakwa.
According to him, the only way ODM can reciprocate DAP-K’s support in 2022 is by supporting Seth. During the charged rally, he relayed Edwin Sifuna’s greetings but did not clearly state whether Sifuna personally supports Seth Panyako.
Wamboka present
Part of those who accompanied Seth to Sifuna’s rural home was Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, who has actively joined Panyako in soliciting support for the November 27 election.

On his social media handles, Wamboka stated that they had joined Sifuna to mourn with him following the death of his uncle, who is set to be buried later in the day on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Majimbo Kalasinga

Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga was also present during the meeting. He has endorsed his candidate, Erick Wekesa, to face Ford Kenya’s Ken Maunda in the Chwele Kabuchai by-election and seems to support Panyako in his bid, since during the meeting he held his hand up, a symbolic way of endorsing someone.
This comes at a time when Panyako has the clock ticking, with only a few days remaining before the campaign period elapses.
