Buzeki: Kenyans will not accept continuation of UDA
Businessman Zedekiah Bundotich has stated that Kenyans will not accept the continuation of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement on Wednesday, June 26, 2025, Buzeki, as he is famously known, stated that the current regime has abandoned governance and instead embarked on a “smash-and-grab” exit strategy.
“Kenyans will not accept a continuation of UDA in 2027. The writing is on the wall. All that remains now is for them to loot as much as they can while they still can,” he stated.
“It’s no longer governance; it’s a smash-and-grab exit strategy. The country will have to be rebuilt from scratch!” he declared.
This follows nationwide protests on June 26, 2025, that saw thousands march, waving Kenyan flags, holding placards, and carrying roses in remembrance of those killed during last year’s protests.

In a statement released on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Securex Security reported that protesters had lit bonfires at the Capital roundabout in Kisii town, resulting in traffic disruptions in Kisii County.
Similarly, the police deployed tear gas to disperse protesters who had blocked the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway and lit bonfires in Makueni County.
Protests
Furthermore, a small group of protesters was active at Chwele Market in Bungoma County, and another group of protesters is currently active in Embu town, specifically around the Cylet area.
Bonfires were lit along the street, and anti-riot police are on-site monitoring the situation.
As a result, the government directed all media houses to stop the live coverage of demonstrations commemorating the victims of the June 25, 2024, protests.
In a statement on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) stated that the coverage is contrary to the Constitution.
“The live coverage of the June 25, 2025, demonstrations is contrary to Articles 33(2) and 34(1) of the Constitution of Kenya and Section 461 of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, 1998. This is therefore to direct all television and radio stations to stop any live coverage of the demonstrations forthwith,” read the statement in part.
