Businessman Buzeki calls on UDA to accept public reality
Flamboyant politician and Eldoret business mogul Zedekiah Bundotich alias Buzeki has challenged the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) to accept that Kenyans are not ready to tolerate it being in power in 2027.
Buzeki on June 27, 2025, claimed that the current regime has abandoned its core mandate of governance and instead embarked on a “smash-and-grab” exit strategy.
“Kenyans will not accept a continuation of UDA in 2027. The writing is on the wall. All that remains now is for them to loot as much as they can while they still can,” Buzeki said in a statement.
“It’s no longer governance; it’s a smash-and-grab exit strategy. The country will have to be rebuilt from scratch!” added Buzeki.
He said that the countrywide protests witnessed on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in which irate Kenyans held massive protests, was a clear indication that the country was tired of President William Ruto’s administration.
At the same time, a section of leaders from President William Rutos North Rift backyard have demanded for the arrest and prosecution of individuals who will be found culpable to have funded and sponsored the mass protests witnessed in some parts of the country on Wednesday which left at least 18 people death and destruction of property worth millions of shillings.
Led by Elgeyo Marakwet County Governor Wisley Rotich, the leaders on June 27, 2025, condemned the violence and called on security agencies not to relent until all the goons and their financiers are brought to account.
“The kind of killings, the kind of looting of property, the kind of hurting police officers hurt, the kind of young people injured, the rape, all those things that happened yesterday should be condemned with the strongest terms possible.”
