Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack John Mose, finally gave in to pressure from his constituents and released Sh2 million donated by Deputy President (DP) William Ruto in 2018.

The money which was donated by the DP when he toured the constituency in 2018 was to go towards the construction of classrooms in two schools.

Mose surrendered the money after parents of Ikonge Primary and Ikonge Secondary schools threatened to hold demonstrations against him.

The MP who was in the company of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Committee members, visited the two schools and handed over the money through bankers cheques to their respective headteachers.

Mose in addition also donated Sh1 million from the CDF kitty to the primary school for the construction of additional classrooms at the institution.

Mose denied reports that he had planned to squander the money.

But he said he had planned to release the money alongside other funds from the CDF kitty to be collectively be used to put up more classrooms.

He accused his political detractors of using the matter to undermine him politically.
