DP attends Akurinu prayers conference

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is slated to attend the Akurinu prayers conference in Mbeere North this Sunday.

The event will also feature the presence of Mbeere North Member of Parliament Geoffrey Ruku.

TUK’s address on land grabbing

In another development, the President of the Technical University of Kenya, Kirera Denis Muchoki, is set to address the issue of alleged land grabbing behind the TUK Main Campus by Kenya Railways at 11:30 AM at the Technical University of Kenya S Block.

World Freedom’s Day

Today, December 10, marks the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), a groundbreaking global pledge that enshrines the fundamental rights of every human being.

The UDHR, proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris in 1948, asserts the inalienable rights of individuals, regardless of various factors.

The 2023 theme is Freedom, Equality, and Justice for All, and a year-long initiative leading to a high-level event in December 2023 will focus on universality, progress, and engagement.

How Likoni will commemorate freedom day

Likoni community plans to observe Freedom Day with a procession starting from Manyatta Mosque to Caltex Ground.

During the event, the community will express their desire for the government to recognize Caltex Ground as communal land rather than private property, as some claim.

The session will be led by Licodep, the Likoni lands and settlements rights group, and the Settlements’ executive community media, which has been actively advocating for their rights.

NSL, FKF PL action

The National Super League (NSL) and the FKF Premier League will witness continued action this weekend with matches scheduled to start as early as 1:00 p.m. The games will take place at various venues across the country.
