Tusker FC tie down duo ahead of 2023/24 season
FKF Premier League giants Tusker FC have offered two contract extensions to two key players ahead of the new season.
The club confirmed that they have successfully retained the services of Ugandan forward, Deogratious Ojok, and Kenyan defender, Charles Momanyi.
Tusker FC extension
Ojok, who initially joined Tusker FC in August 2021, signed a two-year contract that was set to expire this month.
However, the club has moved swiftly to secure his services for the future by extending his contract until 2024.
“Ojok stays! Our Ugandan forward Deogratious Ojok has extended his stay at Ruaraka for one more season,” the club confirmed on Thursday.
Similarly, Charles Momanyi, who joined the team from Gor Mahia in August 2021, has also committed to another season at the club after signing a new deal.
“Chalo stays!! We are glad to announce that defender Charles Momanyi has extended his stay with the Brewers for one more season,” the club revealed.
The contract extensions come as a huge relief for both Ojok and Momanyi, as the club has recently released several of their key players whose contracts had expired.
Tusker departures
Among those departing were experienced players Kevin Monyi and Jackson Macharia, who had been with Tusker for seven seasons.
The club also bid farewell to seasoned players Humphrey Mieno, Shami Mwinyi, and Tanzanian defender Kalos Kirenge.
