The meeting held at a Mombasa hotel was meant to strategise on the election of the new speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly.
Ward representatives allied to the Azimio la Umoja -One Kenya coalition skipped the meeting citing pending determination of the Presidential petition set for Monday, September 5, 2022.
“We are still in court challenging presidential results and we have no time to discuss issues of assembly Speaker. He can do that with his UDA team,” Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok stated.
