Former Gatanga MP Nduati Ngugi has conceded defeat after provisional results by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) show an imminent win for UDA candidate Wakili Edward Muriu.

The Jubilee candidate appreciated his supporters for granting him the opportunity to represent them in Parliament.

“I take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for the great chance you accorded me to serve you as your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. Together we have accomplished notable milestones that have contributed to the development of our great constituency. I wish you all a very bright future. God bless you,” he stated.

Nixon Korir concedes defeat to Jalango

UDA’s Nixon Korir has conceded early defeat to ODM’s Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o in the Lang’ata parliamentary seat.

In a post on social media on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, the outgoing Lang’ata MP alluded that the chances of him clinching the seat were slim.

“To the people of Langata, I sincerely thank you for according me an opportunity to be your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. Its been a great opportunity that gave me an avenue to contribute to our nation-building and service to the people. From the results that we’ve tallied at the Generali centre, my competitor Jalango has a lead and I want to congratulate his as he prepares to take the mantle and move Langata forward. Siasa si chuki. God bless Langata,” Korir wrote.
