Upcoming table tennis star Noorani eyes global ladders
Ahmed Adnaan Noorani possesses an innate command of speed and technique, a talent he cultivated from a tender age.
His rapid ascent through the ranks was not a stroke of luck; it was a journey marked by unwavering determination and hard work.
While Noorani is undeniably eager to succeed, he openly acknowledges that table tennis is a demanding sport mentally. He reveals that appearances can be deceiving, and the sport’s intricacies become apparent depending on which side of the table you’re on.
The soft-spoken Noorani singles out table tennis as one of the swiftest sports, pushing players to their limits.
He credits his inspiration to his dedicated coaches, notably Fahd Daim, Adam Pema and his father, Kamran.
With resolute dedication and relentless effort, Noorani has ambitious aspirations for the next five years. His goals revolve around climbing the ladder in both national and international rankings.
“Participating in prestigious tournaments like the Olympics and World Championships, honing my skills and techniques, and, most importantly, becoming an inspiration to others are the facets of the game I eagerly anticipate,” he shares.
One of Noorani’s most memorable matches was a closely contested 3-2 loss to a highly-ranked African player from South Africa, Ruan Scholtz.
