U17 World Cup: Junior Starlets squad for Uganda clash revealed

Kenya U17 Women’s team head coach Mildred Cheche has named a contingent of 51 players for the provisional squad for their 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Uganda in March.
With a few players graduating to the U20 side, the coach has retained a huge part of the history-making 2024 World Cup team that featured in the Dominican Republic.
Custodians Velma Abwire and Scovia Awuor have been retained alongside Lorine Ilavonga, Jenevive Mithel, Lindey Weey, Halima Imbachi, and Brenda Awuor.
The attacking trio of Joy Valencia, Joan Ogola, and Quinter Adhiambo have also been included in the team.
The tie will be contested over two legs, with the first match scheduled between March 7 and 9, 2025, and the return leg set for March 14 to 16, 2025.
