Sharks raid Kibera Black Stars for Costah Anjeo

By , July 25, 2025

National Super League outfit Kibera Black Stars has lost mainstay Costah Anjeo Nzuva to top-flight side Kariobangi Sharks.

The defender’s acquisition has been confirmed by the Kenya Premier League outfit, adding to the new players linking up with the former FKF Cup champions ahead of the new season.

Sharks have, however, not made public the details of their contract.

“Costah Anjeo Nzuva signs up. A left-back with just the craftsmanship we need joins from Kibera Black Stars,” the club revealed.

Nzuva, who also attracted interest from AFC Leopards, will now don the yellow of Kariobangi Sharks.

The left back was a crucial cog of the Kibera-based club, whose push for top-flight football ended in disappointment as the club finished in fifth place, just three spots shy of promotion to the top-tier league.

During the season, Costa featured in all the club’s 34 games, cementing his assured presence in the team.

His tenacity and determination have, however, earned him the prospect of featuring in the top league after catching the eye of William Muluya.

He becomes the fourth arrival at the club following the signings of Collins Omondi, Jahson Wakachala and Devine Otieno.

His arrival comes just a day after the club confirmed that midfield lynchpin Patilah Omoto had made a return to the team.

The midfielder had initially left the club for Police FC before joining Posta Rangers.

Sharks stated that the deft-footed enforcer’s arrival as William Muluya’s side continues its rebuilding phase for the 2025 season.

“Patilah Omoto returns. A pulse in midfield who brings balance and calm in chaos rejoins from Posta Rangers,” the club said while confirming the returnee.

Former Sharks man

Omoto was among several former Sharks mainstays who ditched the Kariobangi-based outfit for a novel challenge alongside Eric Juma, Ovella Ochieng, and Vincent Wasambo.

He returned to the team after helping Rangers retain their KPL status following a playoff win over Naivas FC in June.

Sharks are on a rebuilding phase following a chastening season that saw the club finish four points above the drop zone.
