Rugby World Cup Sevens: Kenya Sevens beat Tonga for round of 16 slot
Kenya Sevens started off their Rugby World Cup Sevens campaign on a bright note as they knocked out Tonga in a pre-round of 16 matches following a 19-0 win to book a place in the round of 16 matches slated for Friday evening at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
Damian McGrath’s charges have booked a date against Argentina and will be hoping to win the match to reach the last eight.
Three tries for Shujaa
To beat Tonga, Shujaa scored three tries and converted two for a much-needed win. It was Willy Ambaka who scored the opening try after he sidestepped past his marker. The try was converted by Sammy Oliech for a 7-0 lead.

Despite enjoying possession, Shujaa had to wait till the last minute of the first half to add the second try. Captain Nelson Oyoo had a break at the centre after an inside pass by Oliech. He raced for a try that Oliech easily converted for a 14-0 at halftime.
In the final half, Kenya only managed one try which came just after the buzzer. It was Vincent Onyala who had a break on the left wing and raced to score a try that was unconverted.
The win means Shujaa will face Argentina at 5:23 PM East Africa Tim in the round of 16.
