Police Bullets begin hunt for continental silverware with crucial tie against Kampala Queens

The Kenya Police Bullets are set to fly the national flag high as they prepare to face Kampala Queens of Uganda in their opening match of the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers, which kick off this week in Nairobi.

In a statement released on Tuesday, August 2, 2025, the National Police Service (NPS) confirmed that the 2024–25 FKF Women’s Premier League champions will represent Kenya in the regional tournament that runs from September 4 to 16, 2025.

“The Kenya Police Bullets Football Club, which was crowned the 2024–25 FKF Women’s Premier League champion, will represent Kenya in the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers for 2025,” NPS said.

The Bullets, drawn in Group A, will open their campaign against Kampala Queens on Thursday, September 4, at the Nyayo National Stadium, with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m. The matches will be staged at both Nyayo Stadium and the Ulinzi Sports Complex, bringing the continental spotlight to Nairobi.

NPS rallied the public to turn up in numbers and cheer the team throughout the tournament.

“We call upon all Kenyans to turn out in large numbers to rally behind our team,” the statement read, underscoring the importance of home support as the Bullets chase continental glory.

The qualifiers will bring together some of the region’s strongest clubs, making the competition both tough and exciting.
