Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere has expressed confidence in his troops ahead of their highly anticipated Kenyan Premier League clash against record champions, Gor Mahia, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Coming from a 2-1 defeat against defending champions Kenya Police FC in their previous league outing, Okere has stated that the Brewers are intending to bounce back to their winning ways against K’Ogalo, who are leading the pack with 16 points in seven matches.

High spirits

”I can say that the morale is very high in the camp, playing against Gor Mahia, who are the current league leaders. For us, it is going to be a very interesting game, a tactical game…it is how we have prepared our boys,” Okere said in his pre-match remarks on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Ruaraka training base.

Tusker have been struggling with consistency since the start of the new campaign in September; the former champions have been recording mixed results, with Okere predicting better days.

Despite suffering a defeat against Police FC in their previous assignments, Charles Okere believes there are positives to draw from the fixture heading into Saturday’s match. Tusker are placed 7th on the log with 12 points in nine outings.

”We need a win after coming from a loss; a victory for us against Gor Mahia will be a great boost. We are emphasising retaining the ball as long as possible. Against Police FC, we had better statistics in terms of possession, so we believe we are going to borrow from the Police FC match,” Okere added.

Enock Morrison upbeat

At the same time, Gor Mahia midfielder Enock Morrison is upbeat ahead of the same fixture, saying K’Ogalo are ready to face the Ruaraka-based outfit as they seek to strengthen their grip at the summit of the league standings.

”We are feeling perfect; it has been enough rest for us, and the international break has given the consistent players time to rest and come back fresh. We hope to pick up where we left off,” Morrison said on Friday, November 21, 2025.

”We are taking every game seriously; every game is important for us, and we are going to approach it with the seriousness it deserves,” he added.
