FKF Premier League side Nzoia Sugar have confirmed that Salim Babu has left the club following the conclusion of the season.

Nzoia Sugar hired Babu in March 2022 during a challenging period for the club both on and off the field.

However, he managed to turn the team’s fortunes around, leading them to a 14th-place finish in the league with seven wins throughout the campaign.

In the just concluded season under his guidance, Nzoia Sugar became title contenders but unfortunately faltered in the second-to-last round of matches.

They ultimately secured a commendable fourth-place finish, finishing six points behind champions Gor Mahia.

During the just-concluded season, Nzoia Sugar achieved 18 wins, 10 draws, and six losses. Meanwhile, Kenya Police FC, Babu’s new team, finished in third place with 64 points, just six points behind Gor Mahia.

They had an impressive record of 18 wins, 10 draws, and six losses, making them the league’s top-scoring team with 55 goals.

Moreover, their defense was formidable, conceding the fewest goals in the league, only allowing 22 against them.

It’s worth noting that Kenya Police FC has already signed Kenneth Muguna and Tyson Otieno to strengthen their squad.
