The FKF Premier League side, Murang’a Seal, have announced the departure of head coach Gabriel Kingi Njoroge just before the Christmas break.

Kingi took charge of the team at the beginning of the new campaign and had an impressive start, winning the opening two matches.

Despite facing back-to-back losses, the team recovered and went on a seven-match unbeaten run, including four wins and three draws.

However, recent challenges have seen Murang’a Seal drop to the ninth position in the league standings.

In the announcement of his departure, Murang’a Seal stated that Dennis ‘Wise’ Okoth had been appointed as the interim head coach until a permanent replacement is found.

“We have parted ways with Gabriel ‘Kingi’ Njoroge as head coach on mutual consent. Dennis ‘Wise’ Okoth is at the helm on interim basis,” reads a statement on the Murang’a Seal X account.

Murang’a Seal went on to wish the coach the best in his future task as he exits the club.

“Kingi oversaw 15 matches in our debut season, winning six, losing five and drawing four. Murang’a Seal would like to wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” the statement announced.

The team is currently positioned ninth in the league standings, with six wins, five draws, and five losses. They have scored and conceded 13 goals each.
