Mathare United’s custodian Robert Mboya, has challenged the side to brace for a tough challenge from their match week 28 league opponents, Tusker FC, this Sunday, April 27, 2025.

Mboya, who previously featured for the Brewers, urged his teammates to maintain their concentration levels while admitting to the tricky task of predicting the kind of tactics the Brewers will have up on their sleeves for the clash.

“Tusker is a good team, and we are in for a tough battle. I just urge my teammates to have mental fortitude and to concentrate from the first to the final whistle. They (Tusker) have their own style of play but can switch things up as the game goes, so concentration will be key if we are to get a result this weekend,” he said as quoted by the club’s media.

The Slum boys will be looking to make amends after suffering defeat in their previous match against Bidco United, and Mboya says they have to pick themselves up fast.

“We need to correct the mistakes we made in our previous match. We have to keep believing that we can earn even a point,” he added.

The clash will curtain raise a meeting between Gor Mahia and Mara Sugar slated for 4:00 pm.
