Lawrence Juma all set for return to Gor Mahia
International midfielder Lawrence Juma is set to complete his return to 20-time local premier league champions Gor Mahia, four years after he left the team.
According to a senior club official who sought anonymity, discussions have been going on between the player and the club since Friday and they reached a conclusion on Saturday evening with the player agreeing to re-join the team he won the league with before he left for Sofapaka and later AS Kigali in Rwanda.
“Everything is now complete, we have had a series of negotiations and Lawi has agreed to rejoin K’Ogallo from his current club AS Kigali in Rwanda, thanks to the efforts of ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owallo. He will be signing his contract on Monday and preparing for the pre-season with the rest of the team players,” the official told People Sport.
Juma who last played for the national team Harambee Stars, more than two years ago, will have to fight for a place in the Gor Mahia midfield against Alpha Onyango, Ernest Wendo, Peter Lwasa, Boniface Omondi, Shafik Kagimu and John Macharia.
