Kenyan driver rules the roost after day two of East Africa Safari Rally
Kenya’s Baldev Chager is the new leader of the 10th edition East African Safari Classic Rally.
Driving a Porsche 911 with Drew Sturrock as his navigator, the crew set the fastest times in the last two stages of the Day Two action to emerge as the leaders of the World-famous Marathon Raid Rally.
The former Safari Rally winner and several times winner of the Kenya National Rally Championship titles, has never won the major event though he has won two Mini Classic Rallies and finished third in the EASCR.
Patrik Sandell/Henrik Bolinder were placed second at the end of the six stages of the event so far before heading into Nanyuki. The World famous East African Safari Classic Rally is in good progress with the help of the sponsors and a vast number of competitors both from international and local drivers.
Ken Block, the World famous stunt driver from America is making headlines with commendable performance so far in the East African Safari Classic Rally.
Block, who is competing in his first ever rally in the African Continent, set two fastest stage times out of the three sections to head the list of the finishers driving a Porsche 911.
The latest edition of the Classic event received major sponsorship support from Shell Energy Kenya.

Mark Senteu, the Marketing Manager for Shell for Vivo Energy Kenya was happy to be reunited with the major rally.

The rally will head for Amboseli tomorrow where the rest halt will be held. The competition will then head for Tsavo on 16 February followed by Watamu the following day.
