The Kenya Cup 2025/26 season delivered another thrilling weekend of rugby action in round two, featuring commanding victories from favourites in matches played across different venues on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Kisumu 10 – KCB 41

Heavyweights KCB RFC showcased their pedigree with a convincing 41–10 win away to Kisumu at the Maboleo Showground, recording their first away win of the campaign.

The Bankers were sharp in attack and disciplined in structure, controlling the tempo from start to finish. Kisumu showed fight, especially in the second half, but the experience and power of KCB proved too much to contain.

Menengai Oilers 97 – Impala 6

In Nairobi, visitors Menengai Oilers recorded the weekend’s biggest win, dismantling Impala 97–6 at Impala Grounds.

The Oilers were relentless, scoring almost at will and demonstrating clinical execution in open play. Impala struggled to cope with the pace and physicality, as the Oilers stamped their authority.

Kenya Harlequins 24 – MMUST 13

Kenya Harlequins walked away with a 24–13 victory over MMUST at the RFUEA Grounds in the capital, Nairobi. Elsewhere, perennial winners, Kabras, swept past Daystar Falcons with ease in Athi River.

Kabras Sugar registered a dominant 58–0 win against the hosts, keeping a clean sheet in an emphatic performance.

Blak Blad hold Nakuru RFC

Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad picked up one of the weekend’s standout victories, overcoming Nakuru RFC 21–10 at the Nakuru Athletics Club.

Blak Blad were disciplined on defence and sharp off turnovers, frustrating Nakuru’s attempts to dictate the game.

The tightest match of the weekend saw Strathmore Leos narrowly defeat Nondescripts 32–30 in a high-scoring thriller.

Both teams exchanged leads several times, keeping supporters on their feet throughout. In the end, Strathmore’s composure in the dying minutes secured an important victory.

Meanwhile, as the new Kenya Cup season takes shape, the Kenya Sevens management is also gearing up towards a seemingly busy 2026 season.

The team has been in training for the last two months following the conclusion of the 27th edition of the Safari7s and is now preparing for the HSBC SVNS 2, kicking off in February 2026.

Nairobi is honoured to host the first leg of the SVNS 2 tournament scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15, 2026.
