According to the club, goalkeeping coach Samuel Okoth will be in in charge of the team’s affairs for the remaining two matches of the league campaign.
“The club has suspended coach Patrick Odhiambo, assistant Jeffers Odongo, and fitness trainer Eric Muranda, effective immediately,” part of the club statement read.
Koko in charge
“Goalkeeper coach Samuel Koko Okoth will assume the interim responsibility for the team in the remaining two matches in the FKF Premier League 2024/25 matches,” the statement said.
The club also said the changes were necessitated by the need to turn the club’s fortunes around.
“The changes made to the technical bench are in a bid to turn around the team’s performance in the remainder of the season,“ the club statement concluded.
Company’s brand
Meanwhile, Club Chairman Bramwel Simiyu voiced the need for positioning the club as an integral part of the company’s brands.
“KCB Football remains a crucial part of the KCB brand’s sporting platform. With that said, it’s imperative for us to take stock of where we are as we position ourselves more strongly for the future,” he said.

The sacking follows after the Bankers suffered a loss against Bidco United in Monday’s, May 19, 2025 league clash.
In what must have broken the camel’s back, the defeat left the team in ninth place with 10 points in what has been a season in which Bankers’ vault has been breached with relative ease by KPL rivals.
The team has 11 losses and as many defeats in the league games they have played so far, and got eliminated by NSL side Nairobi United in the FKF Shield Cup at the round of 16 stage.
With two games to go, Bankers are ranked 10th and next face AFC Leopards and Nairobi City Stars in their remaiming leagueb fixtures.
