Kariobangi Sharks announce action-packed pre-season schedule
By Joel Masibo, September 2, 2025Football Kenya Federation Premier League side, Kariobangi Sharks, has announced the 2025 Elite Preseason Cup schedule, slated to commence on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Nairobi.
Sharks, the tournament’s hosts, like all the participating teams, are gearing up for the new football season this month, with the Premier League to start on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
Through a club statement released on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Kariobangi Sharks asked participating teams to take note of the adjusted time and venues ahead of the tourney’s kickoff on Tuesday.
In the just-concluded 2024–25 FKF Premier League season, Sharks secured an 11th-place finish. While the mid-table position showed room for improvement, the Nairobi-based outfit is looking forward to utilising the Elite Preseason Cup, which brings together top Premier League and National Super League sides for a strong start to the new campaign. Ahead of the new season, Kariobangi Sharks have moved to bolster their defence by signing goalkeeper Wayne Orata from Dandora Youth FC.
