Kabras set for Dala 7s cup final clash with KCB after edging Oilers
The 2025 Dala 7s will conclude with a heavyweight clash in Kisumu after Kabras RFC and KCB RFC stormed into the cup final on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium, Mamboleo.
In the opening semifinal, Kabras edged Menengai Oilers 14-10 in a tense Rai Derby. William Mwanji crossed first for Kabras before Patrick Odhiambo added another, with Rayvone Ambale converting both for a 14-0 lead. The Oilers fought back to narrow the gap, but Kabras held firm to reach their first Dala 7s final since last year’s title-winning run.
KCB came from behind to beat Daystar Falcons 19-5 in the second semifinal. Daystar struck first through Clinton Amukwachi’s unconverted try, but the bankers responded with tries from Stephen Osumba, Floyd Wabwire, and George Ooro. Conversions from Osumba and Brian Wahinya sealed the victory, setting up another showdown with their perennial rivals.
