In-form Moses Shumah bags second brace for Zambian giants Power Dynamos

By , December 8, 2025

Kenyan international Moses Shumah once again came to Power Dynamos’ rescue as his double helped the team to a 2-1 comeback win over Konkola Blades in a Zambian top-tier league match played on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Shumah started the match as a substitute, entering the fray for the second half as Power trailed the visitors from Francis Mubanga’s opener.

Difference maker

His introduction proved influential, as the former Kakamega Homeboyz attacker made the difference, scoring a brace to carve out a win for the defending champions.

The Kenyan international headed in a Kondwani Chiboni cross in the 85th minute to level the match, then struck again three minutes later, cleaning up a loose ball in the box to seal the comeback.

The victory, Dynamos’ seventh in the league after 13 games, took their point tally to 25.

The reigning Zambian champions are now placed second on the pile, six behind league leaders, Red Arrows.

For his travails, Shumah was voted the Fans’ Man of the Match and currently ranks as the joint league top scorer despite featuring in fewer games in the season.

Second brace

The feat marked the second time the Kenyan bagged a brace since joining the club at the start of the season.

He previously inspired the AbaYellow to a past clash against Napsa Stars.

His recent feat, however, put the past display in the shade after sealing his brace in a space of four minutes.

Against Napsa, Shumah’s brace came in a span of 30 minutes.

Completes his double

Shumah rose highest to nod home from close range as the Kitwe-based team broke an almost hour-long deadlock.

He went close to completing his brace when his curling effort came back off the bar with nine minutes left to play.

The reigning Kenya Premier League top scorer with Kakamega Homeboyz still had time to complete his double in the 90th minute.

Power now turn their attention to a rescheduled home match against Kabwe Warriors on December 13, 2025.
