Harambee Star ace Jack Vyner’s Bristol extends fine streak in Europe
Two of Harambee Stars’ prospects in Europe, Zak Vyner and Thomas Silko Amari, played out contrasting results in Boxing Day clashes in England on Friday, December 26, 2025.
Bristol picked up a crucial 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion to move sixth on the pile.
Anis Mehmeti’s fortuitous shot from outside the box four minutes from the start set the pace for the win.
The Robins were, however, forced to hold on tight in the final minutes after baggies struck the posts in a last-gasp attempt at a goal.
The late Christmas present of three points on Boxing Day was ultimately secured as the team picked up back-to-back league wins to end the year on a high.
Silko Amari tastes defeat

Speaking on the win, Bristol’s coach lauded his charges’ display in a game he had predicted would be a tough encounter.
“I would also say the second goal, how we score, how we come out [with] the typical face, how we show our principles, and how we come with the ball on the far side, is super clean. At the same time, we know to win here, it’s really difficult, and we expect a very difficult game.”
Individually, he stretched his assured and solid display in the season with the club.
The 28-year-old versatile fullback marked a club milestone in October with his 218 appearances for Bristol City in the Championship. cementing his role as an outstanding cog of the team’s rear guard.

Kenyan prospect Silko Amari Otieno Thomas was introduced in the 87th minute as his side, Leicester City went down 2-1 to Watford FC in an English Championship Match on Boxing Day.
The Foxes scored early in the first half through Jordan James in the 7th minute but couldn’t hold on to claim 3 points as Watford scored through Morocco’s Othmane Maamma and Mattie Pollock to secure all 3 points.

The Kenyan prospect was the sole bright spot of the chastening defeat, scoring for the team’s consolation in the game.
