Gor Mahia sign Nzoia Sugar star
Gor Mahia FC, one of the top clubs in the FKF Premier League, is set to secure the services of midfielder Kevin Juma from Nzoia Sugar FC on a free transfer
Nzoia Sugar FC have officially confirmed that Juma has been granted a release from the club to join the reigning champions on a four-year contract.
Juma’s deal at Gor Mahia
In an announcement, Nzoia Sugar FC stated, “The club has also released midfielder Kevin Juma who is set to join Gor Mahia on a 4-year contract as a free agent.”
This move presents an exciting opportunity for Juma to elevate his career by joining Gor Mahia, a club currently gearing up for CAF Champions League matches and looking to strengthen their squad.
Gor Mahia recently missed out on securing the services of Tyson Otieno, who opted to join Kenya Police FC.
Additionally, Austin Otieno, Tyson’s brother, is yet to finalize a new contract with the club. The team is also rumoured to be pursuing Lawrence Juma, who is presently in Rwanda.
Juma’s exit a blow
Juma’s departure comes as a blow to Nzoia Sugar FC, which is also facing the loss of their Head Coach, Salim Babu, following the termination of his contract.
The club has announced that Babu will be assuming a coaching role at Kenya Police FC. In his new position, Babu will be working alongside head coach Francis Baraza, with whom he previously collaborated at Sony Sugar when they clinched the 2006 title.
The acquisition of Kevin Juma will undoubtedly bolster Gor Mahia FC’s midfield, adding depth and talent to their squad.
As the reigning champions, Gor Mahia are determined to assemble a formidable team capable of competing at the highest level.
