Gor Mahia, Shabana set for action as FKF PL action enters fourth round

By , October 4, 2025

Action resumes this weekend as the 2025/2026 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season continues to gather pace, with round four of the new campaign scheduled at different venues nationwide.

This weekend’s league action started on Friday when 2009 winners Sofapaka were beaten by visiting Kakamega Homeboyz by a solitary goal at the Dandora Stadium. Josphat Lopaga’s 3rd-minute goal was enough to seal maximum points for the Homeboyz in Nairobi in an early kickoff.

At the same venue, former champions AFC Leopards were held to a 2-2 draw by Posta Rangers. The particular stalemate marked Ingwe’s second consecutive outing without a win in the ongoing season; this is after registering another 1-1 stalemate against Sofapaka in their opener against Sofapaka on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

On Saturday, Bandari FC will host Murang’a SEAL at the Kenya Ports Authority Sports Club in Mombasa, starting at 3:00 pm local time. It promises to be a crunch tie, as the coastal outfit will be seeking to turn around results after parting ways with their head coach, Ken Odhiambo, earlier in the week, owing to a string of poor results.

Bandari will be led by former Kenyan international John Baraza against the Murang’a side that beat league newbies APS Bomet in their last outing. On the other hand, Bandari will be seeking to bounce back positively after losing to Shabana FC by Brian Michira’s lone goal at Mbaraki in their last league fixture.

Elsewhere, record champions Gor Mahia will also be in action this weekend when they play KCB FC at Dandora Stadium on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
