Gor Mahia‘s goalkeeper Kevin Omondi is having an outstanding season in the FKF Premier League, leading the race for clean sheets as the league approaches matchday 16.

Despite some fans calling for the reinstatement of Gad Mathews, who was injured, coach Johnathan McKinstry has stuck with Omondi, and the decision has paid off.

He currently leads the race for clean sheets, followed by John Njau of Posta Rangers, Brian Bwire of Tusker, and Joseph Ochuka of Bandari, all with seven clean sheets.

Other goalkeepers with six clean sheets include Bonface Munyasa of Murang’a Seal, Patrick Matasi of Kenya Police, and John Otieno of Bidco United. FC Talanta’s Isaiah Wakasala has five clean sheets.

As the league heads into matchday 16, AFC Leopards, coming off a rare win over second-placed Kakamega Homeboyz, will be hosted by Murang’a Seal.

Murang’a Seal will look to bounce back after two consecutive losses and fight for a statement win against a traditional club like AFC Leopards.

Sofapaka and Muhoroni Youth are set to clash, while Tusker, coming off a 2-0 win over Nzoia Sugar, will host Police FC.
