Gor Mahia, Brazil’s Corinthians to feature in Coal City Cup in Nigeria
Football Kenya Federation Premier League Champions Gor Mahia are set to feature in the Coal City International Cup next month as part of their preparations for the upcoming continental Champions League matches.
Gor Mahia will kick off their campaign against Brazilian side Corinthians Paulista, currently 15th in Brazil’s Serie A, on August 2, 2024.

They will then face Benin side FC Coton on August 4, 2024, and conclude their campaign with a match against Nigerian side Remo Stars on August 6, 2024.
The Coal City International Cup is an annual pre-season football tournament hosted at The Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Nigeria.
The first edition of this 11-day competition will be held from August 1-11, 2024. Rangers International Football Club of Enugu, the host team, will be a permanent feature of the tournament.
The 2024 competition will feature four teams from Nigeria and four teams from outside the country. The event is powered by the Enugu State Government in conjunction with private sector sponsors and organized by Ski-Hi Entertainment.

Gor Mahia, also known as K’Ogalo, are preparing for the CAF Champions League where they will face Sudanese side Al Merrikh in the Preliminary Round on August 24, 2024.
The team, under coach Leonardo Neiva, was recently eliminated at the group stage in the 2024 CECAFA Kagame Cup.
