Gor Mahia have been crowned the Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions following a successful defence of the title in the 2023/24 season.
Although they had managed to defend the title before the ultimate stage of the season, Gor Mahia were relentless as they defeated Bidco United 4-3 in a match played at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
The giants finished the season with 73 points.
Meanwhile, Benson Omala finally managed to weather the storm and win the Golden Boot. He was on the scoresheet twice, as he first found the back of the net in the first five minutes to help K’Ogalo claim an early 2-0 lead.
Yusuf Shaban netted the third goal before Ronney Onyango scored the fourth in the 83rd and 90+2nd minutes, respectively. An own goal by Bidco United’s Jacob Onyango was scored late in the added time to ensure the champions won the ultimate game of the campaign.
