Winners of the 2021/2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League will pocket prize money of Ksh2 million, the FKF Transition Committee has confirmed.

Unlike last season where the winner pocketed Ksh5 million, Tusker FC or Homeboyz are set to pocket Ksh3 million less.

Tusker FC who won last season’s title are well in contention for the big prize in a season that has been marred with a lot of confusion. The brewers and Kakamega Homeboyz are in contention for the top prize with each side playing their last match of the season at home.

Tusker are hosting Posta Rangers at Ruaraka Stadium with Homeboyz expecting Kariobangi Sharks in Kakamega.

Both teams are tied at 60 points and it will boil down to goal difference should both sides pick maximum points.

Tusker FC who had a rather slow start to the season have a goal difference of 21 with Homeboyz 17. The slight advantage by Robert Matano’s Tusker will give them confidence as they battle out with a Posta Rangers side that’s winless in their last five.

The latest reports indicate that Kariobangi Sharks have failed to honour their match against Kakamega Homeboyz and it now means that they will be awarded three points and two goals then hope that Tusker drop points against Posta.
