Kenyan midfielder Duncan Otieno is reportedly being considered for a move to the Zambia Super League this month.

Currently without a club after parting ways with Botswana’s Gaborone United at the end of the season, Otieno left the club with eight months remaining on his contract.

The departure followed an unfortunate injury setback, resulting in him losing his place in the starting lineup last season.

Despite struggling to secure a starting berth in the just concluded season, Otieno played a crucial role in his debut season with Gaborone United, contributing significantly as the team narrowly missed out on clinching the league title.

Wami Katanga, a journalist with Bolla Zambia, has reported that two Super League clubs in Zambia are interested in signing Otieno, suggesting a potential return to the country where he previously played for Nkana and Lusaka Dynamos.

Otieno has been linked with a move to AFC Leopards, a struggling FKF Premier League side, as they seek to revitalize their season.

Having previously played for A.F.C. Leopards in two stints, as well as for Posta Rangers and Kenya Police FC, Otieno boasts extensive experience. He made his international debut for Kenya in 2017 as a midfielder and has earned 12 senior national team caps.

Despite being part of the national team squad for the recent World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles, Otieno did not feature in the matches.
