Athletics Kenya (AK) has revealed that no athlete will be allowed to participate in any competition if they do not stick to anti-doping rules and regulations.

President Jackson Tuwei sounded the warning saying athletes intending to participate in the competitions should be subjected to four tests before being cleared for athletic events saying AK and other agencies have declared total war on those doping.

Tuwei revealed that athletes participating in international competitions must be tested three times outside competitions and once during the competition adding that the rules and regulations are cleared and therefore must be adhered to the letter.

Speaking on Saturday at 181 playing ground in Sotik town, Bomet County during the third AK Cross-Country series, Tuwei said it was not going to be business as usual until the menace is stamped out completely from sports.

“Any athlete flouting anti-doping rules and regulations will be barred from competing in any competition. We are upping tests every other day until we rid the sports of performance-enhancing drugs going forward,” Tuwei warned.
