The Management has ensured all details about the Games are in place, including Covid-19 compliance where tests were conducted yesterday at the Residential Camp in Kasarani for teams travelling on Friday.

“We are ready for Birmingham as we ensured all athletes have travel documents such as passports and Visas to the UK early enough and that their concentration is purely set on performance and excellence,” National Olympic Committee Kenya (NOC-K) Secretary General Francis Mutuku said.

He added: “A checklist has been issued to all team managers to ensure they have everything the team requires days before departure. We are happy to report that all is on course. The Official Nike Kit will be issued today and we invite the media to also come and cover the event.”

Some of the matters on the checklist include; visas, tickets, Covid-19 testing and vaccination, anti-doping compliance among others.  Most of the athletics team in Oregon for the World Championships will also be travelling to Birmingham for the Games.

They will also start heading to Birmingham later in the weekend.
