Cricket: Kenya play second fiddle to Uganda
T20 Championship is proof enough, Cricket Kenya has its work cut out.
Kenya played Uganda in the 11th match of the ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier at the Gahanga Stadium in Kigali on Saturday, with the neighbours being declared winners through the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern
method.
Kenya have won three of their four matches and came second with six points.
They won their last match against Tanzania convincingly, bowling them out for just 101 runs in a superb bowling effort.
Vraj Patel picked the most wickets with three dismissals to his name. Shem Ngoche and Rushab Patel also picked two wickets each in the innings as Kenya chased down the total in just 12.3 overs with seven wickets to spare.
Collins Obuya (28), Rushab Patel (24), and Alex Obanda (22) put up a collective effort with the bat in the run-chase.
Uganda finished top of the table with four wins and nine points after Uganda beat Nigeria by eight wickets in their previous meeting. They restricted Nigeria to 112/9 bowling first.
