KCB rugby club is gearing up for a gruelling face-off with its opponents as it prepares for this year’s Floodlit Rugby Tournament slated for October 29th, 2022 at the Impala Grounds, Nairobi.

The well-oiled Bankers are the defending champions of the Floodlit tournament which they won in 2019. The 2020 and 2021 editions were not played due to the disruptions of sporting activities occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic.

This tournament will be the first competitive event the team will participate in the fifteen-aside version of the game since the 2021/22 Kenya Cup season.

Commenting during the team’s training session at the Ruaraka Sports Club, KCB Coach Mariko Mushilla said: “It has been more than six months since we last played the 15’s version of the game. As KCB, we are daring our opponents for a face-off and we are hopeful that we will bag maximum points to enable us to retain the title.”
