Bandari FC appoint Michael Wanyika as captain
Bandari FC have appointed custodian Michael Wanyika as the new captain ahead of the FKF Premier League campaign.
The new development was announced on the Club’s social media channels. The club stated in a statement that Wanyika will be assisted by defender Andrew Juma and attacker Abdallah Hassan.
Leadership mantle
“We have made a change of captaincy. Goalkeeper Michael Wanyika has been handed the leadership mantle this season, he will be deputized by defender Andrew Juma and attacking midfielder Abdallah Hassan,” the club announced.

Wanyika who is the first choice keeper replaces Bernard Odhiambo who was appointed to lead the side in February 2020 after Felly Mulumba briefly left the Coastal side for Zimbabwean side FC Platinum.
The keeper joined the side from Kakamega Homeboyz when he was signed to replace Faruk Shikalo who had joined Tanzanian giants Yanga.
Beefed up
Bandari FC have beefed the squad with the likes of Derrick Otanga, Felix Oluoch, James Kinyanjui, Enock Momanyi, Fidel Origa, Douglas Mokaya, Omar Sobomwana and Mohamed Abeid.
They will be keen to improve on the last season’s performance where they finished third in the league campaign.
They had 54 points, just nine behind what Champions Tusker and runners-up Kakamega Homeboyz got.

Bandari are continuing with pre-season preps and have picked wins against Gor Mahia FC, Nation FC, Progressive FC, Kenya Navy and Posta Rangers.
They recently lost to KPA team in a friendly played on Tuesday.
