Football Kenya Federation’s National Super League side APS Bomet has landed a mega sponsorship deal with betting firm WR Bet.

The collaboration will see WR Bet sponsor Sh 5.5 million into the team’s operations for the 2024/2025 season, alongside Sh 270,000 sponsorship for new kits.

This partnership reflects WR Bet’s mission to leverage sports as a catalyst for positive change. By supporting APS Bomet, we aim to amplify the team’s role in uniting communities, nurturing talent, and promoting values of discipline and teamwork.

WR Bet Regional Director Vadim Daianovhas tipped the National Super League side to excel and reach its long-term target of gaining promotion to Kenya’s top tier league next season riding on todays and future corporation.

“This partnership is a great milestone in our ambition to transform communities through sports. We look forward to achieving great things together and especially their goal of getting promoted to major leagues. Our main target with this is to grow Kenyan sports beyond the African continent,” Daianov remarked.

Assistant Chief Executive Officer and Project Manager Antoinete Barbrah Kawemba noted that the signing of the deal with the Bomet-based team is significant and underscores their endeavor of giving back to the community after being impressed by the management of the team.

“The club has good leadership right from the top and that is what motivated us. We’re not only targeting gambling and betting but also giving back to the community. We partnered with the club after identifying its strong management and positive impact to the community.”

Assistant Inspector General of Police Stephen Etyang lauded the partnership and noted that it will be a huge motivation to the team in the remaining league matches of the season as the team cements their quest for promotion.

“We are proud of the team and the way they are performing and they are doing very well. Their team has struggled financially but now with this kind of sponsorship I think we will be able to go the next step in achieving our ambitions. The players will be motivated, this is an achievement to us.”

“Today’s partnership means a lot to our club. We have never had a sponsor before and we have been struggling on our own but we have been relentless in our performances. This sponsorship has come in handy at the moment when we are giving our best to see us get promoted to the FKF Premier League,” said APS Bomet CEO Rose Chemtai.

APS Bomet FC was selected for its exceptional dedication to sportsmanship, grassroots engagement, and alignment with WR Bet’s goal of delivering tangible social, cultural, and community benefits.

The sponsorship will enhance APS Bomet’s training facilities, provide modern kits for players, and expand outreach programs to engage underserved communities. The partnership will also strengthen WR Bet’s brand visibility across APS Bomet’s digital platforms, match venues, and community events.

Currently, APS Bomet FC is second on the NSL standings with 50 points just one point behind leaders Nairobi United after 24 outings.

Beyond this initiative, WR Bet continues to champion corporate social responsibility through sponsorships such as the Wadau Premier League and Baby Mama FC, providing kits and resources to empower sports in Kenya.
