AFC Leopards midfielder says Victor Wanyama defines humbleness
AFC Leopards midfielder Musa Saad has lauded former Harambee Stars midfielder Victor Wanyama‘s unparalleled humility.
Sharing a candid photo of their time together, Saad labelled the midfielder the GOAT (Greatest of All Times) and expressed his gratefulness for spending time with the former Tottenham star.

Wanyama, one of Kenya’s top football stars, earned his stripes in top European leagues, starting with his impactful years at Beerschot AC.
After interest from clubs like Celtic and CSKA Moscow, Wanyama moved to Celtic in 2011 marking a historic moment as he became the first Kenyan to play in the Scottish Premier League.
His journey continued to Southampton, where his standout performances garnered attention, leading to a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League. At Tottenham, Wanyama made history again, scoring on his home debut against Crystal Palace.
He went on to be a key figure at Spurs until August 2019 when Tottenham started making plans to sell him.
Victor Wanyama exits EPL
In March 2020, Victor Wanyama left Spurs for Montreal, making an impactful debut in the CONCACAF Champions League against C.D. Olimpia. Despite a 1–2 defeat, Wanyama’s assist showcased his immediate contribution under manager Thierry Henry.
On November 21, 2021, he captained Montreal to a 1–0 victory over Toronto FC, securing the 2021 Canadian Championship.
In a twist, Wanyama initially announced he wouldn’t renew his contract with CF Montréal in October 2022. However, in January 2023, he officially re-signed, committing to a new two-year deal.
