AFC leopards set date for presentation of new players

Football Kenya Premier League AFC Leopards is set to unveil its new players ahead of the 2025 season that kicks off in September 2025.

In a confirmation from the club this Saturday, September 5, 2025, Ingwe revealed that the event will be held this Sunday, September 6, 2025, at the Dandora stadium.

According to the club, the event will see a series of events, with a friendly clash against lower-tier side New Kings topping the on-pitch action.

Ahead of the events signaling the start of a new campaign by the team, Ingwe has been on a signing spree, roping in a number of new stars as it seeks fresh tidings in the top league after a finish under coach Fred Ambani.

Among the club’s latest signings are former Sharks man and Police FC midfielder Tyson Otieno and left central defender Rami Lasso Coulibaly from Morocco’s Chabab Alam Tanger.

Others are Ugandan Samuel Ssenyonjo, striker Elias Mugane, and Deng Kang, who has been promoted from the juniors team, AFC Leopards Cubs.

Defender Brian Ojok and striker Elais Mugane also have signed contracts with the club ahead of the new season. The former, a marauding fullback, completed a permanent transfer to FKF Premier League giants AFC Leopards SC on Friday, September 5, 2025.

He spent one and a half years at Soy United, where he joined from Zoo FC in 2011.

Meanwhile, Mugane links up with Ingwe from NSL side Fortune Sacco. The lethal attacker bagged 22 goals and claimed several assists to inspire the Kirinyaga-based team to a fifth-place finish in the league and will be expected to continue the feat after the step-up to Kenya’s top tier.

Highly rated- winger James Kinyanjui is also among the new arrivals joining from KCB FC, where he enjoyed a stellar season that saw him score 5 goals with 14 assists.

On the outbound transfers, Leopards has parted ways with keeper Levis Opiyo and Ovella Ochieng, who confirmed their departures ahead of the new season.
