AFC Leopards receive midfielder boost ahead of midweek action
AFC Leopards’ midfield department has received a major boost with the return of Musa Saad, who has recovered from surgery.
The midfielder picked up a shoulder injury and had been sidelined since late October.

Saad underwent a bankart surgery on his right shoulder on October 23, 2023, a minimally invasive procedure aimed at restoring shoulder stability in cases of dislocation.
The club has confirmed that the experienced midfielder is back in training, although they have not disclosed the specific timeframe for his return to competitive matches
In a statement, AFC Leopards announced Saad’s return, accompanied by a photo of him in training.
Saad, a South Sudanese midfielder, signed a new one-year deal with AFC Leopards in July 2022.
The club officially announced the contract extension, emphasizing Saad’s commitment to the team and his desire to repay the trust placed in him.
Having initially joined AFC Leopards from Thika United in 2018, Saad has become a key figure in the squad.

With dual citizenship from South Sudan and Kenya, Saad began his professional career with Nairobi City Stars, accumulating 24 appearances.
He later moved to Thika United, where he made 63 appearances before joining AFC Leopards in June 2018 at the age of 20, signing a four-year contract.
In September 2019, Saad underwent trials with the Spanish club Velez, showcasing his potential for international recognition, although a transfer did not materialize.
Meanwhile, AFC Leopards’ Lewis Bandi and Abubakar Musha remain sidelined with injuries, creating anticipation for Saad’s return to bolster the team’s midfield strength.
