AFC Leopards release duo to join Kenya Police
AFC Leopards have confirmed the release of midfielders Dan Musamali and Marvin Nabwire who will now seal their move to Kenya Police FC.
The two players have been out of the den since April 2022 but were yet to make competitive appearance for Police FC. Leopards had insisted that the two had long term deals with the side and accused Police of player tapping.
The two clubs have now reached an agreement with Leopards confirming the release of the two players.
“AFC Leopards has mutually agreed to release midfielders Marvin Nabwire and Dan Musamali to join Kenya Police FC . Nabwire and Musamali joined the club straight from Kakamega School and St. Anthony Kitale respectively,” the club announced.
Nabwire joined AFC Leopards from Kakamega High School and went on to be appointed as captain in November 2021 following the exit of Isaac Kipyegon who left to join Tusker FC.
Nabwire only served in the role till March 2022 when he left to move to Police FC. The midfielder took to his social media pages to thanks the Leopards Fraternity.
“It’s time,, a big thank you to all AFC Leopards family, from the Chairman, technical bench, Players and fans for the good times we had together, as we open another chapter of life in this industry, I pray for your continued support all through the journey and also to wish the club all the very best in the coming season, once again. Thank You very much,” reads a post by Nabwire.
Musamali on his part joined Leopards in 2020 right from St Antony Kitale and penned down a four year deal.
