Trucha’s passionate message to AFC Leopards after huge turn-out in Ingo Derby

AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha has lauded Ingwe fans as the finest in the country following their remarkable turnout in Kakamega for the Ingo Derby.

With a considerable number of supporters making the journey from Nairobi and others emerging from Kakamega Town, Bukhungu Stadium was packed to capacity as AFC Leopards battled Homeboyz to a goalless draw.

Trucha expressed his gratitude, stating he interacted with fans on their return journey to Nairobi, deeming them the true victors of the Ingo Derby.

Furthermore, Trucha extended his appreciation for the fans’ fantastic support during the match.

“The Ingo Derby winners are AFC Leopards fans. I met a few of you on my way back to Nairobi. Huge respect to all of you guys travelling hundreds of kilometres to give us support.

“I would like to thank you very much for filling Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega. You also gave a wonderful show off the field. No doubt you are the best fans in Kenya,” Trucha noted.

AFC Leopards run

Despite their current eight-match unbeaten streak and six consecutive clean sheets in the league, AFC Leopards sit in eighth place on the log with 31 points, trailing leaders Gor Mahia by 16 points.

The team is eager to narrow the gap with the top four contenders.
