Abud Omar’s beauty sinks Sharks as Police dislodge Gor from top spot

Omar struck home from a free kick, curling home a stunning left-footed free kick past Sebastien Wekesa’s separating save for the all-important goal.
The goal proved crucial in snapping the cagey affair against William Muluya’s charges.
Stubborn Sharks
Sharks entered the tie propping up the table with only a single win after eleven games and roused a stiff opposition against the law enforcers’ side, keen to ascend to the league summit.
The match’s turning point came ten minutes after the restart, after the reigning champions won the foul just outside the host’s box.

Okere elated
Following the victory, coach Okere hailed his charges for soaking in the pressure to kick off the month with a win.
“It is a positive and great feeling to secure these three points with a clean sheet. It is great starting off December with a win, and it signals good things to come. The victory also sets our morale high,” Charles Okere told club media.
“They have done really well over the last two matches, and I am really pleased with their performance. It is all about their belief, and they are getting it right in terms of our strategy and how we play, and hopefully they can remain consistent,” he added.
The much-awaited Mashemeji Derby will kick off at 3:00 pm at the Nyayo National Stadium.
