Four Harambee Stars players will play in the coveted CAF group phases following their respective teams’ qualification on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Tanzania-based players Elvis Rupia of Singida Back Stars and Duke Abuya of Young Africans led the way with comfortable home victories.

Rupia featured as Black Stars earned their spot in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages with a 3-1 comeback win over Flambeau of Burundi.

Tanzania-based pair advances

The Kenyan was instrumental in the clash with his shot towards goal, proving crucial in Black Stars’ second goal that came via a penalty.

Black Stars went on to win the return leg clash 3-1.

The two teams ended the first leg tie on a 1-1 draw, leaving the Tanzanian club to progress.

Meanwhile, Abuya and Young Africans mounted a stunning comeback to edge Silver Strikers 2-0 and secure their place in the final phases of the continental games.

Abuya, who started on the bench in the first-leg tie that saw Yanga suffer a 1-0 defeat, was restored to the starting line-up for the return tie at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

Shumah, Baron in

In Zambia, Moses Shumah was on the score sheet as Power Dynamos drew Ivan Minnaert’s Vipers 1-1 to advance on a 3-1 aggregate win.

Shumah also bagged a goal in the first-leg tie in Uganda, with his strike in the return leg stretching his fine form in front of goal.

Baron Ochieng, who plays for Zamalek in Egypt, will also feature in the CAF group phases after the White Knights eliminated Somalia Dekadaha in the second qualifier rounds on Saturday.

The Kenya U20 ace marked his debut with Zamalek six days ago in the first-leg win over the minnows.

The Harambee Stars players now await their respective opponents as CAF conducts the draws for the group stage clash.
