Keroche heiress the late Tecra Muigai former boyfriend Omar Lali yesterday narrated how their relationship was “full of love”.

Lali, who took to the witness stand on Wednesday to testify in the inquest into Tecra’s death, denied allegations that he was involved in the fall that led to her death.

The boat operator from Lamu told Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul that he had never had any disagreement with the deceased during the period of their relationship.

“Ours was a life full of love. Tecra loved my mother and the entire family. When I welcomed her home, she said she would live with us for the rest of her life,” said Lali.

According to Lali, Tecra had accepted to be married to him adding that they enjoyed each other’s company adding that she was jovial, lovely, welcoming and outgoing.

He recounted the last moments he had with Tecra and how he rushed her to hospital after she allegedly fell from the balcony of a holiday home.

Lali told the court that he rushed Tecra to the nearby Shella health clinic while in a state of unconsciousness.

He said that Tecra was later referred to King Fahad Hospital, where she was attended to before being flown to Nairobi by Amref. “As a sign of appreciation, Tecra invited my family to visit her Naivasha home. We visited with other relatives and she took us to Hippo Point, Nakuru and Kisumu.”

He said Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja, who is Tecra’s mother, was always opposed to their relationship and always called him an al-Shabaab member.
